A CANCER charity is appealing for volunteers on Wearside.
Marie Curie Cancer Care is looking for people to become volunteer collection tin co-ordinators in Sunderland.
The charity needs people to gather in its collecting tins and count and bank the contents. The volunteers also check on the tins in businesses and find new places to put them, as well as supporting the charity’s Great Daffodil Appeal in February.
The donations help the charity to provide specialist care to terminally ill patients in their own homes.
Anna Kirk, local fund-raiser for Marie Curie Cancer Care, said: “We really need to find people who can help us harvest the amazing amount of donations we receive during the year.”
