Oil Consultants is a specialist petrochemical recruitment agency which provides highly-skilled personnel to companies across the globe.

The firm has more than 20,000 people on its books and supplies staff to more than 80 countries.

Over the last two years, it has gone from employing nine people to an office staff of just over 60.

As well as the Wearside headquarters and an office in Austria, the firm operates in countries from Norway to Indonesia.

“We offer a 24/7 service for workers throughout the world and look after everything from people leaving their homes, organising visas, sorting hotels etc,” said Ms Smith.

“We make sure they are looked after so all they have to concentrate on is making sure they are ready when they reach the job.

“We are absolutely delighted to have won this award again and really proud of what the team has actually achieved.

“To have won twice is quite outstanding.”
