SPECIALIST recruitment agency Oil Consultants Ltd has been given the Royal seal of approval – again.

The Washington company has won its third Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade in six years.

To have received the award for a third time is an outstanding achievement and one of which we are extremely proud.

Helen Smith, chief executive, Oil Consultants Ltd

The £31million company was formed in 1999 by oil workers who spotted an opportunity in the market for a company to provide highly-qualified personnel to the energy industry.

With international sales of more than £26million, it provides individuals and teams of technical personnel to clients in more than 95 countries.

Chief executive Helen Smith said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been given this award – it is a huge credit to all our staff who work so hard to support our clients and consultants.

“To have received the award for a third time is an outstanding achievement and one of which we are extremely proud.

“The award for international trade is given to companies who have demonstrated substantial and sustained growth in international sales over the last three years.

“Our understanding of our client’s business has enabled us to develop a rapid response, yet extremely high quality service, where we can place consultants globally at very short notice. Our 24/7 service means that clients can contact us whenever they need us, which is extremely important as we work in multiple time zones all around the world for clients working both on and offshore.”

The company has more than of 30,000 registered consultants: “In most instances we require our consultants to have at least four years’ experience in their discipline, so to have so many registered with us is a reflection of the level of service we provide to our consultants as well as our clients,” said Helen.
