A CIVIL engineering practice is a winner three times over.
JN Bentley Ltd, in Durham, was involved with all three projects honoured in the under £4million category of the Institution of Civil Engineers Robert Stephenson Awards.
The company’s Selset Reservoir Hydroelectric Scheme, was the overall winner. JN Bentley was contractor on behalf of RWE npower renewables Ltd.
The firm’s work on the Horden Passive Mine Water Treatment Scheme was commended at the awards for sustainability and environmental issues, while the Tees International Whitewater Course was commended for technical engineering excellence and ingenuity in design.
