A COMPANY has found a new way to connect with customers.

Sunderland technology firm Pebbletree Ltd is winning approval from small firms with its virtual receptionist service.

The new service – Simply66 – joins the award-winning Soho66, an internet telephone service with more than 25,000 clients.

The initiative has been so successful that the 17-strong team, based in North Sands Business Centre, has been able to recruit four new members of staff.

Janni Thornton, managing director at Pebbletree, said: “The business really is going from strength to strength – Soho66 is growing quickly and we’ve enjoyed a great run of success having recently been named Best Voice Over Internet Protocol provider at the Internet Service Providers’ Association Awards 2014.

“We’re always exploring ways in which we can grow the business and expand our offer and we had launched the virtual receptionist service to clients under the Soho66 brand to add a complementary offer to our customers.

“However, we believe that there is potential to significantly grow this arm of the business by launching it as a new trading arm, and so Simply66 was born.”

The service works by diverting calls to a central team at Simply66, who deal with it on their customer’s behalf, allowing small businesses to have calls dealt with professionally, without the need to employ someone to deal with phone inquiries full-time.

Pebbletree was launched in 2005, with Soho66 added to its portfolio in 2007.

The technology for both developed in-house by the company’s team of developers.
