SUNDERLAND CCTV specialist Hadrian Technology expects to see turnover top the £9million mark this year after securing a number of new contracts.

The company, which specialises in designing and installing bespoke, high definition security systems, has trebled over the last two years.

Hadrian, which specialises in providing CCTV systems for businesses in the retail and leisure markets, has partnerships in place with global manufacturers such as Avigilon, Concept Pro and Dell.

General manager Gary Trotter said: “We are pleased to have had an extremely successful year in which we have expanded our specialist team, secured several major retail sector contracts and formed partnerships with world-leading manufacturers. We’re now looking forward to building on our success and are set to have an even better year in 2015.

“The contracts we have already secured will substantially increase our turnover and will enable us to invest in our systems, equipment and staff.”

Hadrian’s high-definition CCTV not only allows shops to produce clear evidence in the event of criminal activity, but also to reduce the impact of ‘slip and trip’ compensation claims.

The firm also offers sophisticated video analytic systems that let companies track customer behaviour and analyse footfall throughout stores, allowing them to identify areas with the most and least customer activity and introduce layout changes to improve flow.

Hadrian Technology’s rapid expansion has seen the company recruit new staff in the last year – with plans to recruit at least eight more this year – and invest in staff training on the number of new internal systems that are now in place at the Sunderland office.
