SAFC is again proud to be supporting the Portfolio Business awards.
The club does not just host the awards dinner, but is also the sponsor of our training category, which it previously won in recognition of its own high standards.
The growth of its external catering arm, 1879 Events Management has seen it not only provide hospitality for external events ranging from Newcastle Pride to the Sound Waves concert at South Tyneside, but also take over catering at the National Glass Centre.
The stadium’s contribution to the local economy goes way beyond the normal remit of a football club.
This year, some of the biggest names in the music world have taken to the stage at the stadium, with One Direction already lined up to launch the UK leg of their first stadium tour.
SAFC is a keen supporter of a initiatives which aim to put Sunderland on the map. Its continued support of the Portfolio awards is a great example of this, helping to showcase other great companies in the city.
“The Portfolio Business Awards continues to be one of the most well-respected and sought-after honours in Sunderland,” said Gary Hutchinson, commercial director.
“We have been involved virtually since the start and know how prestigious they are from both sides – as winners and as sponsors.
“We’re delighted to be involved again.”
This year’s ceremony will be held on Thursday, October 10, when team caretaker boss Kevin Ball will be guest speaker. For tickets, contact Sorted Pr on 265 6111 or e-mail email@example.com.
