TOP retailers have bagged awards for their good work.

Dalton Park in Murton held a ceremony to recognise the achievements of its businesses.

Jerry Hatch, its general manager for outlets for Knight Frank, said: “Retail is having a tough time generally, but our stores and staff are working exceptionally hard to maintain strong sales and excellent customer service at Dalton Park.”

Bosses say while high street sales have fluctuated, the centre has continued with a “solid performance” thanks to its mix of tenants and gift market.

The award winners were New Balance for Best Comparable Sales Growth; TOG 24 for Best Customer Service and Best in Sports and Outdoor categories; The Fragrance Shop for Best Newcomer; Chapelle Jewellery for Best Store Led Marketing Initiatives; Levi’s for Best in Fashion, Hallmark in Best in Gifts; Next Clerance for Best in Large Store; Radley in Best in Bags, Luggage and Footwear; Subway in Best in Catering and Bensons for Beds for Best in Homewares.
