A COMPANY has bagged a deal to take over its second acquisition in a matter of months.
Maxim Facilities Management, based at Sunderland’s Business and Innovation Centre, has announced it has taken over Ross Cleaning Services, a commercial cleaning and window cleaning contractor.
The agreement to take on the Glasgow company is part of its plans to become a nationwide firm, with Maxim already among one of the North East’s largest independent contract and cleaning and facilities management companies.
Maxim runs a host of services including landscape gardening, painting and decorating and since it was founded in 2010, it has taken on more than 500 staff, which it says makes it one of the largest employers in Sunderland.
The work by Ross Cleaning Services will see it take on a client base which includes local authorities and housing associations in Scotland.
Graham Conway, managing director of Maxim, said: “Our aim is to become a nationally recognised facilities management group.
“This step in our growth will enable Maxim to expand its capabilities, offering a wider range of services on a much broader scale.
“We are excited about the opportunities that this will present and how it will facilitate in achieving our growth strategy.”
The purchase of Ross Cleaning Services follows on from the acquisition made by Maxim earlier this year, when it took over the contract cleaning division of South Shields-based Newlife Cleaning Systems (North) Ltd.
The company is on track to achieve annual revenues of £5million, with further growth expected following the appointment of a new sales director.
