A MARKETING expert has launched his first book.
Geoff Ramm’s book – OMG – celebrates his 10th year in business and is aimed at helping entrepreneurs and firms to stand out from the competition and “become memorable”.
Mr Ramm, 37, from Boldon, says OMG features some of the marketing ideas, techniques and observations he has gathered from all over the world.
The award-winning, international marketing speaker said the title does not stand for ‘Oh My God’ but rather ‘Observational Marketing Greats’.
He said: “I was speaking in Milan last week when I received notification from my publisher that OMG had gone on worldwide sale at Amazon.
“It was a great moment and one that I shall not forget.”
The book charts Mr Ramm on his travels and features marketing campaigns and ideas from both global brands and micro-businesses.
It studies outstanding businesses in the region from milkshake bars in Newcastle, sports shops in South Shields and online businesses from Sunderland and County Durham.
He also looks at marketing ideas from as far afield as Barcelona and Johannesburg.
The foreword for the book was written by globally-acclaimed speaker Michael Jackson.
He said: “OMG is just a joy to read. I have read it twice now and each time I keep adding to my list of ideas for my own business. OMG has unearthed incredible cost-effective ideas on how any business of any size or sector can engage, excite and become known in the world.

The book caps off one of the busiest and most hectic of years for the South Shields-born speaker who earlier this year hosted “The Great Event” at the Customs House for the Bubble Appeal charity.
In just a few weeks’ time he will become president of the Professional Speaking Association UK.
