MARILYN-mad Lisa-Marie Rooney has scratched her Six-Year Itch.

That’s how long Lisa-Marie has been dreaming of running her own salon.

Now she has made that dream come true with the opening of Monroe’s, in St Luke’s Terrace, Pallion.

“I have been working in various salons since leaving school, and I’ve rented a chair for the last six years,” she said.

“But all that time I was thinking about opening my own place.”

And it’s not just the name that reflects Lisa-Marie’s obsession with the 1950s icon – even the decor shows her love of Marilyn.

“I have loved Marilyn since I was a little girl,” added the 32-year-old.

“I love her look, everything about her. She was just the epitome of glamour.

“And she was curvy too, not like these supermodels today who are all skin and bone.”
