Sunderland travel firm’s panto joy
John Hays with some employees children and members of the cast of the panto his firm sponsors at The Customs House.
HAYS Travel laid on a special treat for employees’ families – oh yes it did.
Each year, the Sunderland travel firm sponsors the panto at the Customs House in South Shields – and books the entire theatre for one night so staff can take their children along free of charge.
This year’s production is Dick Whittington, and Hays boss John Hays was among the audience.
“We sponsor the pantomime at the Customs House every year,” said John. “They have a great team there, who not only put on hugely successful theatre productions, but also support arts in the local community through education and family events.
“Every year we take over the theatre for one night so that staff and their families can enjoy the performance ahead of Christmas. As always, this year’s event was great fun for everyone.”
