ELEVEN jobs have been saved with the reopening today of a city mobile phone store.
The Phones 4U store in The Bridges has been take over by Vodafone as part of a £100million nationwide expansion.
The Sunderland shop was one of 139 stores acquired by Vodafone after in Phones 4U collapsed into administration in September.
Almost 30 jobs were saved across Wearside when four stores were snapped up by Vodafone and EE after the collapse of the firm.
As well as Sunderland, Vodafone bought the Washington and Chester-le-Street stores, while with EE’s acquired the Peterlee shop.
