TIME has run out for staff at a city store.
Administrators are to close the shops in stricken camera chain Jessops, with the loss of 1,370 jobs.
The firm has a branch in Fawcett Street, Sunderland.
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has announced it is starting to shut the 187-store network.
It said further job losses are likely at the firm’s head office in Leicester.
Jessops is the first high-profile retail casualty of 2013, after suffering from online competition and a boom in camera phones in recent years.
