GENTOO Construction has landed an £8million contract to build a luxury holiday complex in Northumberland.
Lucker Hall will be demolished to make way for 40 self-catering holiday apartments, as well as a village shop, reception, leisure facilities, including indoor pool and associated games and family rooms, snooker room, fitness suites and changing rooms.
Managing director Allan Thompson said: “This is a really exciting project for us, adding to our portfolio of work in the Northumberland area, and embarking on a new relationship with the Holiday Property Board.
“It’s a fantastic development that will really transform the area and have a positive impact in terms of the future business it will bring.”
Holiday Property Board has a portfolio of 1,371 villas, cottages and apartments in 30 destinations across the UK and Europe.
Chairman Geoffrey Baber said: “We anticipate Lucker Hall will employ some 12 members of staff either full or part-time.”
