FIZZYLICIOUS has created 12 new jobs at The Bridges.

The family-owned North-East firm opened a new 1,142 sq ft branch in the centre on Saturday.

Fizzylicious has invested £27,000 in the new store, creating six full-time and six part-time positions.

Centre director Andy Bradley said: “Securing Fizzylicious is another great achievement for the Bridges.

“We’re really excited to welcome the retailer into the centre, especially as the business was founded and is based in the North East.

“Fizzylicious is renowned for its handmade products, ranging from soaps, oil burners and candles.

“Its three stores in Durham, the Metro Centre and Darlington are hugely popular.”

Fizzylicious co-owner Michael Smith said: “We’re really excited to be launching our new store at the Bridges. We’re a family-run business that is incredibly proud of our North-East roots, so to be opening our fourth store in Sunderland and joining such a vibrant shopping scene is very exciting.

“We have even created a special edition ‘Mackem Bomb’ exclusively for the Bridges opening.”
