TWO Wearside IT firms have unveiled plans to create new jobs after teaming up.
IT solutions specialist PCI Services and software specialists HBP Monpellier have formed a joint venture to become fully integrated IT business solutions provider, working with companies throughout the North East, Cumbria and Yorkshire.
The two companies identified a lack of choice in the regional market for businesses looking for a truly integrated IT solution. Having already collaborated on a number of projects, the two businesses have teamed up to form a commercial partnership which will see them come together under one roof.
The two businesses now employ a team of 15 spread across their Rainton Bridge HQ and Carlisle offices, having created three new technical roles directly on the back of the joint venture deal, with plans to double the size of their workforce over the next 18 months.
PCI Services director Joe Olabode said: “Business pressures today mean most businesses, without dedicated IT departments, simply don’t have the time, budgets, or expertise to be dealing with or playing piggy in the middle with numerous suppliers.
“Joining forces with a software specialist like HBP Monpellier provides us with a great platform for our own growth whilst enabling us to provide a meaningful strategic approach, working with our clients to ensure their IT investment is aligned to the needs of their business now and in the future.
“The regional market is dominated by a handful of large IT business service providers, who are not necessarily geared up to serve the needs of the SME market. What we have created is an integrated business that can take the time to understand and in turn can respond to the demands of growing businesses.”
Tom Cram, sales director at HBP Monpellier, added: “Too often IT companies work in isolation, dealing only with their part of the jigsaw, which often creates problems in the long run. By joining forces with PCI Services, we have the ability to grow our client base at the same time as offering an improved service to our clients.
“Often the best software solution for a client is undeliverable because of the way in which the IT infrastructure has been set up and vice-versa.”
