CES Group is warming up for the Portfolio Business Awards.

CES is not only one of the awards’ longest-standing supporters, but is also a real success story in its own right.

The company works with local authorities, housing associations and other partners to lower carbon emissions and to help make thousands of homes more energy efficient.

Under its GoWarm brand, CES has worked on a number of projects to switch household fuel from high emission, high cost sources, such as oil and coal, to cheaper fuels that are either low carbon or carbon neutral.

The organisation is running the two largest private sector CESP projects in the UK and the success of its scheme in Stockton led it to be extended to 5,000 homes, the first borough-wide eco scheme in the UK.

Operations director Karen Hindhaugh is delighted to be supporting the Special Community Award, a perfect fit for an organisation whose work changes communities for the better. “CES is a long-standing supporter of the Portfolio Business Awards and we’re pleased to be involved again this year,” said Karen.

“We know the impact the work we do has on the communities where we operate and so we like to champion organisations which also give their time and effort to make a difference.” For more information about The CES Group, visit www.ces-cic.org

This year’s awards will be at the Stadium of Light on Thursday, October 10, when Black Cats boss Kevin Ball will be guest speaker.
