A POPULAR 1950s-style American diner has opened its doors in The Bridges.
We reported in the summer how Ed’s Easy Diner was planning to open its 31st branch in the Sunderland shopping centre.
The chain is already a popular eatery for Wearsiders visiting the MetroCentre, and is now ready to welcome diners to its Sunderland branch.
Andy Bradley, centre director at The Bridges, said: “We’re really excited that Ed’s Easy Diner has opened here at the Bridges.
“The new restaurant is only the second to open in the North East and we’re incredibly proud that the Ed’s team has chosen the centre as its latest northern location.
“The restaurant is a great addition to the Centre’s food and beverage offer and I’m sure our shoppers will love the wide selection of delicious meals and drinks available – The Original Burger is already a personal favourite of mine.”
He added: “The launch of the new eatery demonstrates our commitment to our loyal shoppers, by continuing to provide them with the best selection of retailers from across the high street.”
Ed’s is celebrating the launch of its Sunderland branch by offering a free burger for everyone who signs up to the Ed’s Club at www.edseasydiner.com.
The diner will be open Monday to Saturday 9am – 5.30pm and Sunday 11am – 5pm.
