DALTON Park is opening up its doors to a new apprentice.
Centre bosses have decided to employ an apprentice within its management team to help support youth employment in the region.
Paul Wright will join the team to cover maternity leave and provide office support for centre manager Jerry Hatch and the marketing team.
Dalton Park enlisted Lucy Marshall from I love Apprenticeships, which provides a professional, free recruitment service to employers wanting to permanently employ young people.
She said: “I want businesses to understand the enormous benefits apprenticeships create not only in terms of a highly-skilled workforce, but by boosting productivity and staff retention.
“In return, businesses are giving a tremendous boost to employment, particularly for younger people who need an encouraging start to their careers.”
Paul’s apprenticeship will give him a level three NVQ in business administration.
His training and support is delivered by Barnado’s Palmersville training.
