A NETWORKING event in Sunderland will show businesses how graduates can help them grow.
Wearside firms are invited to find out more about highly-skilled graduates at the event, which is being organised by Sunderland Business Network.
Sponsored by the University of Sunderland, the event takes place on Tuesday at the National Glass Centre.
Last year, the university placed more than 250 graduates with local businesses under their Graduate Internship Scheme. More than 90 per cent of those graduates have now been offered full-time employment to a contract extension.
This year, funding has been increased, offering more businesses the opportunity to tap into and benefit from graduate skills.
Eve Richardson, business development manager at the University of Sunderland, said: “The university endeavours to help the North East economic growth by supporting our businesses to recruit graduates skills through the Graduate Internship Scheme.”
