Katie Buckley, from TTR Barnes, based in Stockton Road, said the event was a chance to get local businesses together while promoting the car retailer.

“It was very well received,” she said. “We had lots of positive feedback from our clients. It was an excellent opportunity to meet business people in the area on a more casual basis.

“It’s quite hard for people to know that the dealership is there and that they can buy an Aston Martin in the North East. The dealership is the most northern one in the country.”

Clients including Paul Airey, from Paul Airey Ltd, Martin Anderson, from Wessington Way Dental Practice, and Marc Weaver, from Loft House and Partners Ltd.

The event was such a success that plans are already afoot for a future occasion

“Something in the future would be good because we had such a positive response,” added Katie.

David Cook, a director at TTR Barnes, added: “Paul Thursley from Aston Martin was very supportive in giving the premises for the event.

“It was very successful and we would look to work with them again in the future on the basis it’s an excellent way of bringing together local businesses.”
