A NEW tool to help budding Wearside entrepreneurs reach their dream has been launched.
Business Link has launched a new online service to help entrepreneurs looking to start up a new company and people looking to boost their business.
My New Business provides videos, e-learning tools and tutorials as well as help on writing business plans and funding.
The growth and improvement service provides advice for people who want to get more out of their business, including generating more sales and saving time and money.
Mark Prisk, business and enterprise minister, said: “The Business Link services will give businesses new, easy to use, and tailored online services.
“This represents the most effective and efficient way to provide the information and advice business people tell us they need and will help businesses grow.”
Research revealed a quarter of workers in the North East believe there are opportunities to start up a business, but a fear of failure prevents one in three from fulfilling their dream.
Ray Lambe, Business Link boss, added: “The UK has a rich history of entrepreneurialism, but this research shows that one of the major barriers to starting up is fear.”
