Held at Rainton Meadows Arena on May 22, it will raise funds for the Grace House Hospice Appeal.

The high-fashion event is the brainchild of Scott Atchison, from Satchi hairdressing, in Houghton, who wanted to do something to help the Sunderland charity in its quest to build a children’s hospice.

Highlights will include clothes from Urban Celebrity and other designer and high street outlets modelled by models from Glam R Us, hair design by Scott and his team from Satchi and make-up by Pure Bliss in Sea Road, Sunderland.

Scott said: “I had been thinking of organising a fashion show for a while and it is so exciting now everything is starting to fall into place.

“I really enjoyed working with two of the models from Glam R Us, Rebecca and David. Their hair looked fantastic, especially with the range of urban clothing supplied by Andrew Hayton at UrbanCelebrity.com.”

Scott Spock, from Scott Spock Photography in Sunderland, will be covering photography, choreography and music on the day.

Laura McDonald, one of the directors from Glam R Us, who will provide the winner of Miss Sunderland with a modelling contract, said: “We are delighted to be working with Satchi and Grace House Children’s Hospice on such a great event. Some of the models are also great dancers, so there will be a few surprises on the day too.

“Miss Sunderland will also be taking part and this will be her first duty for such a wonderful charity”

Andrew Hayton, from UrbanCelebrity.com, said: “My aim is to provide both men and women with something a little different than your usual online retailer.

“I’ve travelled far and wide to find the coolest, most exciting brands available today, all of which are bought in limited quantities to ensure a little bit of extra exclusivity. I’ve really enjoyed supplying designer labels for today’s fashion shoot.”

Scott added: “The I Love Fashion event will hopefully bring a feel of what is normally experienced on the catwalks of London and New York here in the North East, including some really wild hairstyles, I may even pass on some tricks of the trade.”

l Tickets for the event will be £15 for VIP seating around the catwalk (£150 for a table of 10). All other tickets will be £12 with a glass of Champagne on arrival.
