Aldi will open the doors to its fourth Sunderland store next week.
The new Knollside Close store, in Doxford Park, will be formally opened at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, December 3 at 8am.
Staff from St Benedict’s Hospice will be presented with a donation from the supermarket. Aldi will also be treating customers to sausage and bacon sandwiches.
The store has created 28 jobs and is recruiting for assistant store manager, deputy store manager, store assistant and stock assistant roles.
More information on career opportunities and details of how to apply can be found by going to www.aldirecruitment.co.uk. Standing at 5,424sq ft with 75 car parking spaces, the store will offer about 1,500 product lines.
Aldi store manager David Graham said: “Our products and service have proven to be very popular with the people of Sunderland, and we are pleased to be opening another store in the area.”
