A SUPERMARKET has re-opened following an expansion which has seen 10 new jobs created.
Aldi welcomed shoppers to Seaham store on Thursday after work to add another 940 square metres to its shop floor.
The business on North Railway Street, which first opened in 1995, has grown in size to meet increased demand, with bosses sure it will create a better shopping environment for customers.
Entertainment was laid on as people were welcomed into the shop, which now stocks around 1,350 product lines and offers customers 73 car parking spaces.
Store Manager, Luke Fawcett, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming customers back into our new look store in Seaham, which has been expanded to meet customer demand and will allow us to offer an increased number of product lines at affordable prices.”
Following its reopening, the store will be open from Monday to Saturday, 8am to 9pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm
