“THE amounts raised never cease to amaze me.”

The words of Lions Club president Anne Fielding as she handed out the trophies to participants of last year’s Boxing Day Dip.

The presentation night rewarded people who raised a lot of money and put extra effort into their costumes.

Mrs Fielding said: “It’s lovely to see so many people who took part.

“The amounts raised never cease to amaze me.

“It’s up to £53,000, but once it is all counted it’s expected to be around the £69,000 mark.”
