YOUNGSTERS made their own Easter bonnets and entertained their families with a concert.
Seaham Harbour Nursery hosted performances for parents of children who attend its morning and afternoon sessions.
A total of 84 children performed Easter and springtime songs and took part in a parade wearing bonnets they had made at home with their families.
Headteacher Carole Scott said: “They were decorated with chicks, eggs, rabbits and flowers and lots of nice, spring things.
“I think the effort this year has been really good and we have some very creative parents.” The event helped raise £470 through a raffle backed by businesses in the town, with the funds to help buy equipment for a new play kitchen.
Mrs Scott added her thanks to the firms who have shown their support.
