Boldon hotel speaks of delight at hosting health awards

Hotel staff says they are delight to honour the area's heath servive heroes once again.

The Quality Hotel in Boldon is a sponsor for this year’s Best of Health Awards which aim to honour outstanding people in the health services.

The annual awards – which this year are being held jointly across South Tyneside and Sunderland for the first time – will end with a grand finale at the hotel next month.

Carl Wilkinson, business development manager at Quality Hotel Boldon, said the staff are looking forward to hosting the special event again.

He added: “We last hosted the Best of Health Awards in 2013 and the event was very well received for all who attended.

Also sponsoring for this year’s awards are South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust, City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust, mydentist, and NHS Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group.

There are a range of categories for people to choose to nominate someone for and once the nominations are in, a shortlist will be drawn up.

Finalists will then be invited to the final on Thursday, April 27.
