A DELIGHTED dog owner has been reunited with her best pal.
Simone Sturley was devastated when her Rottweiler BJ went missing from outside her mum’s Shiney Row home.
For the last five years, the dog has provided Simone, 21, with a companion, and helped stop her from sinking into depression as she battles mental health problems.
It is believed thugs snatched the seven-stone Rottweiler after he was left for a few minutes chained up outside the Council Avenue house.
Simone said: “I was devastated because BJ means the world to me. I got him when he was only six weeks old and we’ve been together ever since.
“I was totally over the moon when I was told he had been found. I’m really pleased to have him back and I think he’s glad to be back too.”
On Sunday, police received a call from a member of the public who was concerned about a lone dog wandering through Pennywell.
Officers discovered it was BJ and contacted Simone.
