Beyoncé is already looking like the biggest gig yet to hit the Stadium of Light after pre-sales tickets have sold out.
Following the news she would open the European leg of her Formation World Tour in Sunderland on June 28, the superstar’s fan club pre-sale sold out within hours.
But there’s still time for you to get your hands on tickets.
Ahead of the official sale, which goes live at 9am on Tuesday, fans can queue at the Stadium of Light from 5pm on Monday with special provisions in place to ensure public safety.
Queuing will be housed within the Carling and East stands of the stadium, protecting fans from the elements.
Stadium bosses say they’ve had a sneak peek at what Wearside can expect - and it’s set to be a blockbuster production from one of the biggest names in music.
SAFC’s commercial director, Gary Hutchinson, said: “The hype surrounding this concert has been immense, Beyoncé has created a real frenzy and we can’t wait to host her here at the Stadium of Light.
“I have seen the initial specs for the show and this will be a massive production, with lots of dancers and special effects. I think it is fair to say that this will be the biggest concert we have ever hosted at the stadium and following the response from fans we see this being a quick sell-out.
“There will be no pre-sale from the club although hospitality is available to buy now, so we urge fans looking to secure their tickets to book as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment.”
The venue has been inundated with requests following the announcement of its hospitality packages being on sale, with all Executive Boxes alongside the Montgomery Suite and Quinn’s Sports Bar already sold out.
Limited Gold, Diamond and Platinum packages are still available for fans to guarantee their ticket to this must-see show.
Fans can also buy tickets in person from the Stadium of Light box office from 9am on Tuesday morning - a limited allocation of Gold Circle and General Admission (GA) tickets, affording pitch standing /unreserved Tier 1 seating is available.
Reserved seating tickets can only be purchased through approved ticket agents (listed below). Fans are advised that tickets cannot be purchased from SAFC’s telephone hotline or club website.
Anyone wishing to queue overnight must be aged over 18 years old. Club stewards will be on duty and will ask for ID from anyone they suspect does not meet this age criteria.
The club also advises that there will be no smoking and or alcohol consumption permitted in the stadium concourses and surrounding areas.
Fans who do not wish to purchase their tickets in person can do so via the official ticket websites and phone lines listed below.
