Beardsmith of GMTV fame coming to Sunderland
Is this really Britain's best family bands?
IS this really Britain's best family bands?
According to GMTV viewers the answer is yes, after Beardsmith, from Nantwich, Cheshire, fought off fierce competition from 900 other families from across the country to steal the title.
Earlier this month the family's debut album, Beardsmith A Family Christmas, was released and they are hoping it will peak in the charts in time for Christmas.
The talented family – dad Neil Beardsmith and kids Graham, 25, Gary, 24, Ged, 20, Alice, 14, and Gil, 12 – won over the public and also won a recording contract with Universal to record their version of Bee Gees classic Stayin' Alive.
And since receiving their crown they have been working hard on producing their album and are keen to take their sounds out there to the people who voted them with a tour.
They can be seen at Farringdon Social club on December 27 on 528 0517.
