Arthritis Care Sunderland Branch meet in The Education Centre, Sunderland Royal Hospital on Wednesday October 7th from 6-8pm. Brenda Graham is guest speaker and the title of her talk is Kate Middleton’s Northern Roots.

Sunderland Budgerigar Society next meeting is Wednesday October 7th at 7pm in Deptford and Millfield Community Centre, Havelock Towers, Hylton Road. They are looking forward to the annual visit of a panel from their Area Society – The Northern Budgerigar Society. They will be attending to answer questions on a variety of topics concerned with the breeding of budgerigars, so they cordially invite all budgerigar fanciers to go along to discuss their shared hobby. Don’t forget to call into The Table Top Sale at St Mary Magdalene’s Parish Centre, Wilson Street on Saturday October 10th, starting at 10am. On sale will be clothing, books, jewellery, exclusive hand crafted greetings cards and lots more.

Alan White will be guest speaker at Ewesley Road Ladies Fellowship when they meet on Wednesday October 7th at 7.30p.m. Alan will give a talk on Tunstall Hill.

The Church of The Nazarene, Westbury Street has lots going on. On Monday from 10-noon it will be tea and toast. Entry is free and all are welcome. On Tuesday it will be Ladies Night and also Mens Night from 7pm-9pm. Wednesday it will be the turn of the Crafty Class, which features Cardmaking. Also on Wednesday Bible Study Class from 7.30-9.30pm. Then on Thursday Toddlers is held from 10am-noon. Sunday Service from 10.30am-noon, followed by Sunshine Sunday School from 12.15-1pm, and then from 7.30pm Gospel Service will be held.

Who Killed Dracula’s Bride Halloween Murder Mystery Night at The Chesters Pub on Saturday Octoer 31st at 7pm. Put your sleuth skills to the test, have fun and help out a good cause. Sunderland Cardiac Support Group monthly meeting takes place on Thursday 8th October at 6.45pm. in The Education Centre, Sunderland Royal Hospital.

Outlook, a relaxed midweeek service is held at St Gabriel’s Church on Monday October 12th from 2-3pm. This is a short, informal service, followed by refreshments and a chat.

Sunderland Floral Art Club meet in The Studio of The Royalty Theatre on Tuesday October 20th at 2pm. Demonstrator is Kevin Coulson and the title of his demonstration is Florist Through The Years . Visitors £4, you can pay at the door.

A Coffee Morning in aid of Cancer Research UK will be held at St Gabriel’s Church on Saturday October 10th from 10.30-noon. £1 for coffee and scone. There will be a cake stall and raffle. Why not go along and enjoy the fellowship. All are welcome.
