A DISQUALIFIED driver was given a community sentence after being caught behind the wheel.
Aaron Mordey, 24, was spotted by police on October 19, last year, driving a Ford Focus in Hendon, Sunderland, magistrates heard.
Prosecutor Paul Anderson said: “The officers had had numerous dealings with him and recognised him immediately.”
Mordey, of Tower Street West, Hendon, initially denied driving whilst disqualified, but was found guilty after a trial. Mordey was handed an 18-month community order with supervision and an eight-week tagged curfew from 8pm to 8am. He was also given six penalty points.
