EAST Durham Homes bosses have been given a seal of approval for their work.
A full independent board appraisal carried out in May, has led to the A+ rating being presented to the board of directors.
This was based on replies to a questionnaire circulated to all board directors, discussions with officers, an assessment of paperwork produced for the May board meeting and observations at the same meeting.
The report praised the board for functioning very effectively and remaining customer-focussed, cohesive and outcomes orientated.
Keith Gallagher, East Durham Homes chairman, said: “This is an excellent result for East Durham Homes and shows that we have an effective board in place.
“It is particularly pleasing that the results were even better than last years, showing that we are always looking to improve on our high standards.”
Simon Ramshaw, of Anthony Collins Solicitors who presented the approval, said: “It’s great to see such a customer-focused approach in action. It permeates throughout everything the Board does.”
