The dog went missing from the family’s garden in Witherwack on June 6, after being let out for just ten minutes.

Claire lets Pepper into the garden the same time every morning, but this time when she returned the dog was gone.

With safety gates around the garden, Claire believes Pepper may have been taken.

“My three-year-old daughters are devastated and keep calling out in the garden for her,” she told the Echo.

“I’m frightened to leave my children in the garden alone now.”

After reporting her pet’s absence to the police and vets, Claire is now offering a £500 reward for anyone who can help.

Pepper is a fawn pug with a black face, conjunctivitis in her eye and a hernia.
