It sounds like a fishy tale to us.
Rob Phayer was left scratching his head after he found this bizarre looking creature in the front garden of his mum’s Sunderland home.
So he is now calling on Echo readers to help identify the strange find.
The 41-year-old, who cares for his mother, Stella, 72, a cancer patient, said: “I was just looking in the garden and thought it was a dead bird but I when I went for a closer look I realised it was something else.
“At first I thought it was a fish but it looks like a piranha or a frog. It looks like it’s got two heads and rows of teeth inside its mouth.
“There’s something attached to it as well that looks like more rows of teeth – it looks like something from Alien.”
He added: “As soon as I got close to it I noticed the smell - it absolutely stinks.
“It does look like a fish but if you look inside it’s got two rows of teeth.
“It almost looks like a cross between a lizard and a fish. I can’t understand how it’s ended up in my front garden.”
