HOP on the bus to beat the bullies.
Kids can find out more about Sunderland’s anti-bullying strategy as the XL youth bus rolls into the city today.
The mobile youth centre will be parked in the Market Square, with trained staff on hand to answer questions and provide advice.
Sunderland’s mayor, Councillor Iain Kay, will be jumping on board the bus to find out more about the work going in schools and youth groups across the city to tackle bullying.
He said: “I hope young people and their families will visit the bus and learn more about the help, support and advice that there is available in the city.
“Getting their view and opinions is vital if we are all to work together to address this problem, and we want everyone to feel involved with this ongoing process.”
Young people can find out more by visiting the bus until 3pm today.
There will also be the opportunity for parents and carers to get share their views on the city’s the anti-bullying strategy.
