CHILDREN roared with laughter when they got to have tea with a tiger.

Costa Coffee and Waterstones, who share premises in the Bridges, arranged the opportunity in the store’s window so that visitors to the shopping centre could recreate the front cover of the classic children’s book The Tiger Who Came to Tea.

TIGER. 'The Tiger who came to tea' was in Waterstones this Saturday entertaining local children. In the window are Front to Back Amelia Allison, 4, Luke Mackay, 7, and Lukes Mum Jayne Strong, 25, a Post Office worker,  stand outside, they are all from Pennywell.

Staff set up a table where kids could have their picture taken with the tiger before hearing extracts from the book at storytelling sessions.

Parents could buy photos with proceeds going to charity.
