This week’s Friday Photos come from Sheila Smith and take in some famous – and not so famous – locations around the region
WE’VE got a selection of local scenes that go beyond the usual photography spots for this week’s Friday Photos.
They come from Sheila Smith, who lives in Roker and has been taking photos for about two years.
Sheila, 42, started taking photographs of the local area to show to friends living abroad to show where she lives and was encouraged to learn more after a positive reaction. Many thanks to Sheila for her contribution.
We’ve had a great response to Friday Photos, with lots of photographers sending in their work – if you’ve e-mailed us or sent a disc, keep watching these pages over the coming weeks – but we’re always on the lookout for more snappers.
* Would you like to have your work featured in Friday Photos? If so, we’d love to hear from you. We want photos on any theme, whether it’s landscapes or portraits, events or wildlife. All you have to do is send some examples of your work – about 12 or 13 – and some details about yourself – such as your age, name, occupation, interests and hobbies – plus a photograph of yourself.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org or send photos on a disc to Sunderland Echo, Friday Photos, Features Department, Echo House, Pennywell, Sunderland, SR4 9ER. Sorry, but discs can’t be returned.
IMPORTANT: We’ll only be able to print photos that are of a high resolution. Please keep this in mind before sending any work.
* Taken a great shot but don’t have enough images for Friday Photos? Send it to email@example.com and it could appear on the letters page or Page 2, where we print readers’ photos every day.
