A FUN support session will support schoolchildren who suffer with asthma.
Bronchial Boogie is an 11-week course which will be held in the Durham County Council-run Chester-le-Street One Point Hub, starting in September.
The course aims to help four to 16-year-olds recognise and manage the symptoms of asthma through music, fun and games.
They can also learn to play a brass instrument.
Judith Mallon, a respiratory nurse, said: “The Bronchial Boogie project has been very rewarding.
“The positive comments from the children and parents are fabulous. It makes so much difference having the time to drip-feed the asthma information in a fun and exciting way.
“The sessions have involved the family as a whole which is wonderful.”
