A white supremacist has admitted producing one of the most toxic substances on Earth.

Terror police investigating extreme right-wing activity found ricin in a jam jar in the kitchen of Ian Davison's home.

Yesterday the 41-year-old County Durham trucker admitted preparing for acts of terrorism and producing a chemical weapon.

Davison, of Myrtle Grove, Burnopfield, also admitted three charges of possessing a record containing information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing acts of terrorism, relating to handbooks containing instructions on the production and use of explosives.

He will be sentenced after his son Nicky Davison, 19, is tried on two charges of possessing terrorism material.
