THIS savage "happy-slap" attack was captured on mobile phone outside a Wearside pub and posted on the Internet – pouring shame on the city.
Labelled Sunderland Catfight, it features a brutal punch-up between two girls on The King's Road in Southwick.
One of the girls is seen squaring up to her opponent outside the North Star pub before the pair become involved in a vicious exchange.
One of the women quickly gets the better of the other, kneeing her in the face as she crouches on the ground, raining down blows, before swinging her to the floor by her hair.

The fight ends with the two girls rolling around in the middle of the road clawing and punching as cars are forced to grind to a halt.
One of the girls then runs off with her face covered in blood.
The disgusting display was captured on mobile phone video from a car nearby and two males can be heard laughing and jeering from behind the camera.
The 1 minute 17second footage of mayhem has been posted on the popular YouTube.com website by an anonymous 28-year-old from Sunderland.
Jimmy King, licensee at the North Star, said he was appalled by the fight and had not been aware it had taken place.
He said: "If I'd known anything about it I would have called the police. I don't want any trouble. I just want people to be able to come in and have a quiet pint.
"This is the first I've heard of it and I'm not happy about it."
A spokesman for Nothumbria Police said: "We are not in a position to comment on this until we know exactly when the incident took place so we can check whether or not it was reported to us."
