The band that stamped Britpop firmly on the global music map will be taking the Stadium of Light by storm next year.
Supergroup Oasis have announced they will be bringing their world famous sounds to Sunderland in June as the Black Cats' home is opened up for a musical extravaganza.

The Mancunian band, which was propelled to fame in the Nineties with smash hit debut album Definitely Maybe, will be supported by two other massive acts - Kasabian and The Enemy - a massive coup for the city.

They will play at the Stadium of Light on June 10.

Tickets, which do not go on sale until October 24, are available by phone from the Oasis Lo-Call 24-hr hotline, 0844 412 4638. Alternatively 24-hr credit card hotlines are operating, 0871 2200 260 / 0871 230 6230 / 0871 424 4444.

Tickets will cost £45 (plus booking fee)

Online booking is available from www.oasisinet.com, www.gigsandtours.com, www.ticketmaster.co.uk and www.ticketline.co.uk.

A limited number of tickets (maximum 4,000) will be available from the Stadium of Light ticket office for one day only on Friday October 24th from 10am.

These tickets are for in-person purchases only - bookings cannot be taken via telephone and will be limited to a maximum of four tickets per household.

These are general admission tickets priced at £45 each and subject to a 10 per cent booking fee for credit card purchases.
