A Horden mum said she "danced in the street" when she found out she had won the lottery.

Donna Rhodes, 39, is part of a seven-strong Merseyside syndicate who scooped £45.1million on the Euromillions lottery.

Ms Rhodes has lived in Liverpool for 10 years, lives with her partner David, 38, and their two teenage children.

She landed a share of last weekend's £91million jackpot with colleagues, and fellow syndicate members, from a BT call centre.

She said: "I didn't have any holidays left and was due to work all over Christmas so the best news is I won't have to any more , Instead, I can hand in my notice.

"My mother Gladys is in her 70s and is the sole carer for my brother who suffers from multiple sclerosis, so we are hoping to buy a big house so they can come to live with us and we can help look after him as well.

"We'd also love a little holiday home in Malta."

Ms Rhodes said she got the good news while she was attending a Remembrance Sunday parade.

She added: "I shouted out with joy and started dancing down the street.

"I think everybody thought I had gone completely loopy. It is just such an amazing feeling."

The winning numbers were 11, 19, 34, 43 and 45 with the Lucky Star numbers 5 and 9.
