Peter Pan characters appeared on the streets of Sunderland in ice-cool creations.

Ice sculptors Matt Foster and Matt Chaloner made the children's favourites from metre-high blocks of solid ice.

The former Sunderland University students now run their own company, Glacial Art.

They created the clock-eating croc, Smee, Tinkerbell and one of the Lost Boys using chainsaws, hairdryers and sand paper.

The frozen characters decorated the streets of Sunniside before they melted away.

Peter Pan is the Sunderland Empire's pantomime this year, starring Only Fools and Horses actor John Challis and Sunderland-born actor James Baxter, who played Emmerdale heart-throb Jake Doland.
