A biker with a heart of gold is making one last push to sell raffle tickets in aid of a children's cancer charity.
Lawrence Laidlow is asking for £1 in exchange for a ticket which could make one lucky winner the new owner of a Harley Davidson.
The raffle is being held in aid of Clic Sargent and September 1 will be the final day anyone wishing to try their luck will be able to buy tickets.
The draw will be held later that night at the Gala Casino in Sunderland.
It is the second fund-raising event to be organised by the 45-year-old in aid of the charity which offers care and support to youngsters and their families.
Last, year Mr Laidlow, from Boldon Colliery, travelled around UK on a Harley Davidson to raise cash for Clic Sargent.
He was accompanied part of the way by his son Sam and called into see the young people the charity supports.
Mr Laidlow, said: "It has been an uphill struggle, but the money has been raised to cover the cost of the bike and everything since is for the charity.
"It has been a lot harder than what I thought, but my wife has kept me going and I know it will be worth it in the end."
So far, Mr Laidlow has managed to sell about 20,000 tickets but hopes to sell a lot more before the draw next month.
"I am hoping as many people as possible will come to the casino on the night and give their support. Tickets will be on sale right up until the draw."
Phil Tait, general manager of Gala Casino, in Sunderland, said: "Our involvement is providing Lawrence with a place where he can put the bike on display and people can come along on the night and find out who has won.
"We always try and do what we can for charity and to help our local communities. It is something as a company we have done with Gala bingos and we have tried to bring that ethos into the casinos as well."
