Children will get a little something this Easter thanks to a group of Wearside bikers.

The Up North Bikers were not put off by Saturday's wet weather as they set out on their 10th annual Easter egg run.

Club members picked up Easter eggs collected by pubs in Sunderland and South Shields for distribution at the weekend.

There is still time for anyone with a spare Easter egg to drop it off in the next few days at the Queen Vic, Harbour View, Roker.

Up North Bikers meet at the pub on the first and third Monday of each month at 8pm.

New bikers are always welcome. The club is very informal and does not charge subscriptions.

Anyone wanting further information can call Hilary Gibson on 07932 432128.
