A mountain of chocolate brought smiles to the faces of poorly children.

Young patients on ward 63 at Sunderland Royal Hospital were presented with stacks of Easter eggs by staff from city-based Reed Specialist Recruitment.

Reed specialist branch manager Debbie Marriner said: "This is a special time of year and it's great to see the children's faces light up when they see all the eggs."

Consultants from the Reed Specialist office in Sunderland have been collecting Easter eggs donated by clients and the branch itself.

Debbie thanked generous clients including Northern Rock, Team Wearside, Sunderland arc, Elliott Dent, the GMB union, Innerglass and Wearside First.
