Big-hearted youngsters have raised more than £1,300 for a North East charity.
Pupils from Hetton Lyons Primary School chose St Oswald's Hospice, which provides care for children and adults with serious illnesses, as their charity for this school year.
A representative from the hospice, in Gosforth, Newcastle, went along to the Wearside school to collect a cheque for £1,375.76.
Each year the school chooses a different charity to support and raises money through a variety of events, such as raffles, sponsored activities and their annual maypole dance.
